"A delicate rosy hue. A fruity aroma, slightly acidic, aromatic and light-bodied. For the first time, vintage 2011, I have produced my first rosé, rather my first Nero d'Avola Rosé.

I have often drunk rosé wines during my travels and I always loved them, both for their colour as well as its organoleptic properties and aromas.

After due consideration I decided not to let this wine macerate on the lees but rather press it directly. It fermented spontaneously, at the temperature utilized for white grapes and, out of curiousity, I tasted it throughout the whole grape harvesting until it was bottled.

I believe that throughout the course of the day there is a moment for rosé wine. There is a moment when you need the warm aromas of red grapes which are at the selfsame time as fresh as a white wine, and this is the perfect description of our Nero d'Avola Rosé, a gentle wine that affascinating you for its color and that suprises you for its noble way to be in a glass."
