The blue house is decorated in summer colours: white walls and two shades of blue for the doors and furnishings, providing an additional touch of colour and joy. Here too, we chose to design the spaces with the additional elements built into the structure: a large bed made in brickwork, spacious closets, comfortable sofas with coloured concrete bases and the TV and stereo unit.

The kitchen is separate and is partially in brickwork, complete with an oven and a gracious pantry that matches the colour scheme of the house. The two sofas in the living room can be used as extra beds for children or as a pleasant place to grab a nap, and are, in fact, very comfortable! What we like most about the blue house, however, is the bedroom: lying on the queen-size bed you can see a beautiful view of the vineyard through the glass door. And if nature beckons, just down the steps is the outdoor area, with a table, where we can sit down in chairs or deckchairs and be enchanted by the colours and scents that this corner of Sicily offers us.

Lastly, this house is also prepared for the colder months, with a fantastic cast iron wood-burning stove.

I could continue, but I don’t want to deprive you of the pleasure of surprise. I can tell you, however, that Virzi is perhaps not the best place for people who don’t like living like this.
