Awards and scores in the Guides of our wines in 2021

Despite having been a difficult year, especially due to the difficulties and uncertainties associated with the current pandemic, 2021 has given us many satisfactions. Our wines have obtained important awards and excellent scores in publications and reviews of the specialized press, both in Italy and abroad. We are particularly happy and proud because the awards have been “spread” a little over the entire range, involving various types, labels from different lines and wines made from both native and international grape varieties. It is therefore a certificate of esteem for our work and our production philosophy that goes beyond the value of a single prestigious product. We are lucky to grow our grapes in an exceptional terroir and all this encourages us to move forward to be able to interpret it better and better.

Lo Schietto Nero d’Avola Vince il Sud Top Wine

Great result with Schietto Nero d’Avola 2014 at Sud Top Wine 2021, the wine competition

dedicated to the wines of Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia. An international commission of undisputed value blindly tasted more than 600 wines, divided into 21 categories for each of which the first 3 wines classified were awarded. The Schietto Nero d’Avola ranked first in the category that included Sicilian red wines of various Doc, Docg and Igt. It was not at all easy to emerge in a group that saw such a great variety within it, but in the end we did it, the arithmetic average of the judges’ scores indicated: “Schietto Nero d’Avola 2014 !!”

 

The Schietto Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 wins the Gold Medal at the XVII edition of Emozioni dal Mondo – Merlot and Cabernet Insieme, an international wine competition aimed at wines from Cabernet, Merlot and their blends. In Carobbio degli Angeli in the province of Bergamo 56 judges of 22 different nationalities tasted 220 samples from 18 countries around the world. The best wines were awarded the gold medal.

Don Pietro Rosato 2019 has been included in the 50 Top Italy Rosè, the list of the best 50 rosés in Italy which is part of the 50 Top guides, online publications dedicated to the excellence of Made in Italy. An important award that confirms the quality of our wine and fills us with pride.
